Tungua Eco-Lodge brings to you the real meaning of tranquility, a beautiful tropical setting you would never find anywhere else in the world. Located at the very western end of Bellona Island, TEL reflects the true natural beauty of the Island; situated on the seaside, against backdrop of rocky cliffs, facing the clear blue-sea, TEL is a place you must visit when you visit Bellona Island. TEL is a newly established Lodge on this part of the Island, and it has already gained a good reputation in the Renbel Tourism industry.
Take a short bicycle, or a short ride on the Islands' truck to TEL. Its a short 5 minutes walk from the Island's main-road. TEL is located a few yard from the Island's only port, Ahanga. It is surrounded by green trees, coconut trees and off-course the beautiful white Sandy beach that stretches a quarter of a mile to the very end of the Island.

♥ International travelers: If you plan to visit Bellona Island and consider visiting Tungua Eco-Lodge, you first need to contact TEL's agent in Honiara to make arrangement with TEL before your arrival in the Solomon Islands. For local travelers, please call this phone-number and make arragement before leaving for Bellona Island.
♥ Tungua Eco-Lodge only takes cash and there are no ATM machines on Bellona. You are advised to take as much cash as possible with you to Bellona Island. All payments are done with cash. Checks maybe accepted but not a preferred method of payment, especially if you are using foreign checks.
♥ A TEL guide will meet you at the airport and to accompany you to TEL. If you chose to go there on your own, just ask anyone at the island's airstrip to give you direction as TEL. But it is wise to inform the TEL's management prior to your trip to Bellona Island. |
